WHAT WAS HOMEBREWER?
HOMEBREWER Magazine was a quarterly publication of the American QRP Club. Typically containing over 200 pages of QRP-related homebrewing construction and technical articles, it was intended for builders, experimenters, ham radio operators and low power enthusiasts all around the world. Each issue, HOMEBREWER featured many of homebrew projects for beginners all the way up to the advanced digital and RF experimenters.
HOMEBREWER also had regular columns and contributions on membership happenings, field operations, commercial equipment reviews and contesting.

FORMAT
AmQRP HOMEBREWER Magazine was initially published in standard large-format printed magazine for issues 1, 2 and 3, but was thereafter published on a CD-ROM ... effectively  a "first" in the QRP homebrewing community that brought about many benefits for subscribers - tons more articles than were normally available in printed format, plus full color and hi-resolution graphic images, additional background material, and extra files, programs and spreadsheets that supported the authors' material.  Further, everything was "linked" to allow the reader to easily navigate an entire issue's contents.

PUBLICATION FREQUENCY
The publication goal for HOMEBREWER Magazine was to get it out to subscribers on a quarterly basis, roughly corresponding to the seasons of spring, summer, winter and fall.  The reality of time constraints and family/business commitments for the volunteer editor staff however caused the magazine to be published on a less-frequent schedule.  Regardless, the subscription was based on the number of issues purchased, not the elapsed time, and the readership was generally satisfied with the quality of each issue due to them.

QUALITY
The quality of journal was intended to be first class in every respect, including technical content, editing integrity and journalistic standards.
